Cookie policy
Version: 2026-10-draft
The French version of this policy is the reference version. This English version is a translation provided for convenience.
1. In short
Quorumind only uses cookies that are strictly necessary for the service to work: signing you in and keeping your session open. No advertising cookies, no tracking cookies, no audience measurement cookies. That is why no banner asks for your consent: the law does not require it for these cookies (article 82 of the French Data Protection Act).
2. The app's cookies (app.quorumind.com)
| Name | What it is for | Duration |
|---|---|---|
__Host-qm_session |
Keeping your session open once you are signed in. It holds a random identifier, renewed every 15 minutes of activity. | 30 days, extended with each activity; the session ends at the latest 90 days after sign-in |
qm_pending |
Finishing a sign-up in progress, between checking your address and accepting the terms | 30 minutes, erased when the account is created |
qm_oauth |
Securing sign-in with Google or GitHub: it checks that the provider's answer matches the request made from your browser | 10 minutes, erased when the provider sends you back |
quorumind_signed_in |
Telling the quorumind.com website that you are signed in, so it does not show the "Sign in" link. Its value is "1" and it holds nothing else: no identifier, no personal data | 30 days, erased when you sign out |
These cookies can only be read by Quorumind's server (not by the page's scripts), are only sent over HTTPS, and are not sent with a request coming from another site.
3. The browser's local storage
To remember your preferences, the app and the website save a few values in your browser. They never leave your device and are not used to track you:
| Name | What it is for | Where |
|---|---|---|
quorumind.theme, quorumind.locale |
Chosen theme (light, dark or system) and language | App |
quorumind.next |
Going back to the page you were on after signing in; erased when the tab is closed | App |
quorumind-theme, quorumind-lang |
Chosen theme and language | quorumind.com website |
The quorumind.com website sets no cookies.
4. Audience measure, without cookies
We measure the audience without cookies and without identifying visitors:
- the app counts page views per day and per page, recording nothing about the visitor;
- Umami, hosted by the publisher in France, records page views, the referring site, the browser and the country derived from the IP address, which is not stored. Umami sets no cookies and does not track visitors across sites.
The details are in the privacy policy.
5. Other services' pages
When you pay, you go to a Stripe page; when you sign in with Google or GitHub, you go to their page. These services may set their own cookies there, under their own policies. Quorumind has no access to them.
6. Managing cookies
You can erase or block cookies in your browser's settings. Without the session cookie, you cannot stay signed in to the app.
